MODERN THERAPY FOR COLLEGE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS

Relatable support for the modern college world.

Supporting college students and graduate students with in-person and online therapy for anxiety and transitions in Bellevue, WA and across Washington state.

Navigating the pressures of life in college is a lot.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or lonely? College life is no joke, and its easy to get pulled down into all the stress. You are doing your best to manage classes and tests, while also navigating friendships, relationships, and pressure to figure out what you are going to do with the rest of your life. No wonder it can all feel like too much.

In college, making decisions can be overwhelming. It's natural to feel unsure about your major, which internship to choose, or whether to take a semester off. The pressure to perform academically can be intense, leading to feelings of overwhelm. The competitiveness and perfectionism can feel suffocating, leading to self-doubt and questioning your choices.

Social life in college can also be a challenge, with many students struggling with social anxiety and finding it difficult to make friends or form romantic relationships. This can be especially true if you had a strong support system in high school and now feel lost without it. If you're struggling to manage your time, organization, and grades, you're not alone.

You are sick of the stress spiral and are ready to do it differently.

You’re tired of feeling caught in this cycle:

  • “There is so much change in my life right now, I feel completely overwhelmed.”

  • “I’m surrounded by people, but I still feel lonely.”

  • “I didn’t realize what a big adjustment this would be.”

how we can help

Therapy for college students can help you feel confident in dealing with school stress and life pressures at the same time.

Therapy is a safe space where you can speak your mind without judgment. We can help you sort through important decisions, build new skills, and gain a better understanding of yourself.

College life can be overwhelming, but therapy can help you see your worth, value, and purpose more clearly.

We'll work together to identify your goals and create a plan to help you reach them. You'll learn tools to manage difficult emotions and see things from a new perspective. We'll also explore ways to build self-confidence and practice self-care. And most importantly, you'll have a safe and confidential space to share your thoughts and feelings.

We know college students are already dealing with enough stress from classes and life in general. So, we make it easy for you to take care of your mental health by offering flexible online scheduling and both in-person and virtual therapy appointments.

That way, we can talk it out from anywhere that feels comfortable.

SPECIALIZING IN THERAPY FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS.

Graduate school is tough, especially for those in helping professions. It can take a toll on your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. On top of that, you're expected to reflect on your own mental health, family dynamics, and relationships. Plus, there's the financial pressure. That's a lot to handle!

As a group who cares about grad students, we want to empower you with the tools to manage the stress of academics and emotional exhaustion.

Many people in grad school to become therapists (or in other helping professions) have a desire to work through their own stuff. We specialize in helping students process their mental health, family of origin, relationship dynamics, and current stressors.

Additionally, if you are in a graduate program that requires you to engage in your own therapy, we have a lot of experience working with counseling students and really love supporting people through that process.

    • Improved coping skills: Therapy can teach you healthy coping mechanisms to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges that arise in this phase of life.

    • Increased self-awareness: By exploring your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental space, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your patterns of behavior.

    • Better relationships: Therapy can help you improve communication and conflict resolution skills, leading to more fulfilling relationships with others.

    • Goal-setting: Your therapist can work with you to establish achievable goals and help you track your progress towards them.

  • We will meet weekly or every other week in office or via a completely confidential, HIPAA compliant video platform. The first few sessions will be about getting to know you, taking the time to understand the challenges that bring you to therapy and the things that have shaped your world, and making sure you feel aligned with your counselor. From there, we will create a treatment plan together which will focus on your goals and how to reach them. Though this will be our roadmap for therapy, sessions are not overly structured, so if you encountered something specific that week, we’ll work through it together.

  • A: Many clients find that they have reached their goals in 4-6 months and no longer require ongoing sessions. We also see clients who chose to stay in therapy much longer as they have seen improvements and really enjoy having a place to process their thoughts/feelings and have ongoing support on a regular basis. Your therapist and you will regularly check in on your progress and discuss your continued care.
