We will meet weekly or every other week in office or via a completely confidential, HIPAA compliant video platform. The first few sessions will be about getting to know you, taking the time to understand the challenges that bring you to therapy and the things that have shaped your world, and making sure you feel aligned with your counselor. From there, we will create a treatment plan together which will focus on your goals and how to reach them. Though this will be our roadmap for therapy, sessions are not overly structured, so if you encountered something specific that week, we’ll work through it together. Ultimately it will feel safe, effective, and down to earth.

Many clients find that they have reached their goals in 4-6 months and no longer require ongoing sessions. We also see clients who chose to stay in therapy much longer as they have seen improvements and really enjoy having a place to process their thoughts/feelings and have ongoing support on a regular basis. Your therapist and you will regularly check in on your progress and discuss your continued care.
