She/Her
Therapy should be a place where you are totally comfortable being totally you.
My clients know how much I deeply care for them and that is the foundation of our work together. I see the best in them, and they grow to see the best in themselves. We will work together to uncover what might be missing or keeping you stuck by asking the deeper questions, providing alternative perspectives, and challenging you to question the stories you tell yourself. We will collaborate in setting your goals and I will be there every step of the way, encouraging you to meet them by providing accountability and genuine support.

Clients describe me as warm, humorous, authentic, and direct. My goal is to build trust and safety in our sessions together so that you feel comfortable enough to talk about the hard things. We’ll examine how past experiences may have shaped current situations and what you would like to see change in your life. I provide a safe environment based on empathy, genuine connection, and mutual respect.
During therapy, I rely heavily on using your strengths to show your own resiliency and natural abilities to achieve your goals. I will help you to think about things differently and provide you with the coping skills and tools needed to help you through life’s challenges and the anxiety that comes with them.

My professional training includes many approaches, but I primarily use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client Centered Therapy to help uncover patterns that keep people stuck, while meeting them where they are. At times I will use other therapeutic modalities depending on the individual needs of the person and the plan we create together.
I received a Master of Science degree from the CACREP accredited Mental Health Counseling program at Western Washington University. I am a nationally certified counselor through NBCC which means I have been recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors for meeting the highest standards of counseling practice. I am also an active member of the American Counseling Association. I have been licensed in the state of Washington as a Mental Health Counselor since 2009. To enhance my skills and keep up with the most current counseling information I attend workshops and continuing education classes.
My experience over the past 15+ years has allowed me to work with clients of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. I am also a licensed Washington state supervisor where I provide oversight and support for other mental health clinicians.
